    Good morning,
after updating WP to the latest version 4.9 I have problems with Agama Pro.
The version of the Agama Pro theme is 1.3.3 but I do not see the message for automatic updating to version 1.4.0.2.
    Why?
I would like to update the theme without having to do all the work again.
    Thank you.
    Greetings.

    Hello,

We unlocked your account, so you can try again.
Because you have older theme version you will need to manually update it via FTP to the latest version, you can check guide below:
    http://docs.theme-vision.com/article/updating-a-theme/

If you working with the child theme you totaly safe to update.
If not, first make a backup of your custom CSS codes, you currently have.

    Best Regards

What is the difference between child and normal theme?

My sites have all made them with a normal theme.

I’m not very familiar with css files.
Which theme do I recommend to use?

    Thank you.

    Greetings.

    Hi,

Here is more information about the child themes:

    Child Themes

It’s always better to use a child theme. “…As indicated in the overview, a child theme inherits the look and feel of the parent theme and all of its functions, but can be used to make modifications to any part of the theme. In this way, customizations are kept separate from the parent theme’s files. Using a child theme lets you upgrade the parent theme without affecting the customizations you’ve made to your site.”

If you don’t make a theme code changes it’s totally safe to update your theme, just follow the instruction from the link below :

    Updating a theme

    Best Regards
