ParticipantI have tried every option to activate breadcrumbs but failed to do so. Theme option for breadcrumbs is enabled and configured, pages and posts have breadcrumbs enabled and defined but not showing. What can I do?

ModeratorHello, Ghost!
First, make sure you have enabled it in the Customizing ▸ Breadcrumb ▸ General menu.
If the breadcrumb is enabled and still doesn’t appears on the pages and post,
make sure you do not accidentally switch it off through the Agama options meta box on every single
post/ page (you need to scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the meta box)Also, there can be a possibility that some of the plugins you have activated have some sort of conflict with the theme. I suggest you deactivate all the plugins temporary, then check the breadcrumb. If after that the breadcrumb appears, activate plugins one by one until the problem reappears. On that way, you can find the problematic plugin. (if any).
If you find that there’s some conflict please let us know.Regards

ParticipantHi Zex!
In Breadcrumbs General menu I do not have Home Page switch like in your picture. Apart from that all options are set correctly like you described. I have deactivated all plugins except from core vision with no success. Please advice.
Regards.

ModeratorHello, Ghost!
I have fixed the breadcrumb bar for you.
I suppose there was a conflict between the “Kirki Customizer Framework” plugin and the theme.
Since we already have the Kirki framework included in the theme you don’t need it, so I leave it disabled.

ParticipantThanks a lot!
Can I delete Kirki plugin?
In case of future updates this error should no longer be an issue I suppose?
Excellent support!

ModeratorThank you.
If it’s inactive it doesn’t affect the work of the theme.
But since you doesn’t need it,you can freely remove it.

ModeratorHi,
Unfortunately, the breadcrumb bar can’t be shown on the Category view (it’s allowed only on the Pages or Single Posts).
If you want to show posts on single pages filtered by category, there is a workaround :
Use the Elementor Page builder to create a new page for your custom post Category then use the Gold Addons “Blog” widget (the plugin we suggest to install with our theme – you already installed it but isn’t active) to insert the blog posts on your page.
https://prnt.sc/nmgbgy
The Gold Addons Blog widget has the option to set the view for the Blog post based on category.
https://prnt.sc/nmgb1mInsert the (GA) Blog widget to every page you want to show the blog posts, then edit the (GA)Blog element and change a different Blog category for each Page from the “Content” tab.
In that way, you can have the breadcrumb Bar on the page.Regards

ParticipantThank you for this workaround tip.
I have another question: Breadcrumbs are showing as first thing “HOME” and I would like to change that to “START” because of language specifics.
Looking forward for your answer.
Regards.

ModeratorHello, Ghost!
Unfortunately, a custom breadcrumb Page Title is allowed on the static pages only (It can be configured through the “Agama Options” meta box which is located at the bottom of every static page)

ParticipantHi Zex!
I have simply edited class-agama-breadcrumb.php, took me few minutes to find it. Now I have to remember to edit this manually after next theme update or you might just change HOME to START making it more international (home is strictly English word and start has the same meaning in many languages).

ModeratorHi, Ghost!
You are right, it can be changed by modifying a theme file, but we generally don’t recommend that.
If you decided to modify the theme, I suggest you use child-theme for theme modifications. Using a child theme lets you upgrade the parent theme without affecting the customizations you’ve made to your site.
Also, in case you want to create a child theme from an existing theme without losing the configuration, I suggest using a Child Theme Configurator plugin.
