cannot set parallax background

hello
i don’t seem to be able to set a parallax background image. I am following all the steps but the chosen image either does not upload, or occasionally uploads but te parallax bacjground does not get set up after i click on the update button of the Visual Composer.
I am very unsure of what the problem could be.

Have you followed closely every step shown in the video guide below?

If you want to use parallax background in the slider, use the “Layer slider”. You can find many tutorials how to use it on youtube.
I suggest you import the Parallax template from the Layer slider template store

and modify it to suit your needs.
