Customize the order of posts that show up on posts page

I am not using a static front page but my posts. Can I customize which posts show up first and in which order? I know some themes will use a tag or category but I cant seem to find any options for this. Thanks!

For what you need, you can use the Post Types Order plugin.
Please refer to the guide on this link.
If you want your visitor to sort posts by tags or category, you can use sidebar widgets.
