    Hi again!

    I have entered “mailto:tkd@mekk.at” in Customizer -> Social networks -> e-Mail URL, but the e-Mail Icon is not visible in the Footer.
    If you hover with the mouse left of the RSS-feed icon, you will see the correct link, but no icon. What am I doing wrong? (Website http://www.mekk.at)

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

    Just remove “mailto:” part. (just enter the e-mail address), then it should be fine.

    if it doesn’t work after that, contact us again.

    Hi,

    I have checked that already. Now I have changed to e-mail only, icon still not visible. Also in that case you see a link to a page instead of mailto: …

    Hi again,

    I have investigated that point a little bit further:

    The link of the e-mail points always to the current page …/tkd@mekk.at (where tkd@mekk.at is the email-Adress entered in the e-Mail URL field), e.g.:

    On the page http://www.mekk.at/tkdn the Link is http://www.mekk.at/tkdn/tkd@mekk.at
    On page http://www.mekk.at/tkdn/die-kampfkunst-als-lebensweg the link is http://www.mekk.at/tkdn/die-kampfkunst-als-lebensweg/tkd@mekk.at

    I hope that helps for debugging. Thanks in advance for your support!

    Hi,

    First, check the theme version, update if needed (latest version is 1.4.0.1).
    then check if e-mail icon is still missing.

    If you have the latest version and the email icon is still not showing, add the custom code below into
    Customize->General->Additional CSS

    code:

    .social-icons.e-mail:before {
      content: "\f1fa";}

    Hope this will work.

    Hi Zex,

    Theme version has already been up to date (1.4.0.1). I have added the CSS-code and now the icon is visible!
    But to make the link working too, I have to put “mailto:tkd@mekk.at” in the e-Mail URL field. Otherwise it only points to a page (see my comment before). Strange behaviour …

    In any case thanks a lot for your workaround!
