featured image thumbnail when click doesnot open post

hi

i am having an issue of thumbnail. when i click the featured image thumbnail it only opens image. while it must open the post page. how to rectify

You are right, Looks like you’ve found some bug.(works only on backend, not in frontend )
We’ll check it on our local site and if we find it’s a bug, we’ll fix it in the next theme update.

Meanwhile, until we fix it, you can disable Thumbnail permalinks in
Customization ▸ Blog ▸ General
so that you can open the post by just clicking on the text

It’s not bug, probably you have enabled a Lightbox for blog featured images so once you click on image you see it on popup window via Lightbox feature.

If you disable Lightbox feature you will notice that post thumbnail takes you to the single post page.

You can disable Lightbox for blog featured thumbnails from:
Appearance -> Customize -> Blog -> General -> Lightbox
