    Hi,

How do I add a video to my homepage in place of where the slider is?

    Thanks,
    Abbie

    Hello, Abbie!

Unfortunately, there is no way to do that with the Agama Slider for now.
Instead, you can do that using the “Slider Revolution” plugin, which you already got with the theme.

    Please, check these video tutorials:

Full-Screen Video Sliders in Slider Revolution 5
How To Create Video Sliders in Slider Revolution

After you created the slider, replace the Agama slider on the Front Page with your slider, following the steps below:

    1. From your dashboard, go to the Frontpage (Dashboard ->Pages…FrontPage).
    2. Edit the page.
    3. Scroll down to the Agama Options meta box at the bottom of the page.
    4. Open the “Slider” tab.
    5. Enable slider on “Enable slider” drop-down menu.
    6. In “Select Slider” drop-down menu, choose the Revolution slider.
    7. Go to “Revolution Slider “drop-down menu and select a previously created slider.
    8. Click on the “Update” button to save changes.

Is it possible to not have it be a slider then? But just 1 slide with the video?

    Hello Abigail!

In that case, you even don’t need a slider, just add the video to your page, using your Elementor Page builder.

    Hey Zex,

I ended up buying the slider revolution software to basically re-create Agama’s currently slider but add an additional slide to it with the video. I cannot seem to figure it out. Do you have anyone you’d recommend that I could hire to get this specific task done? I’ve tried asking 2 developers I know to do it, and no one could. Thank you!

    Hello, Abbie!

I don’t think adding video to a slider is a good idea, because the slideshow time is very short. As I wrote to you earlier, I would recommend that you insert video instead of the slider (using slider revolution or Elementor), or you can insert video into page content, below the Front-page boxes.

If you give me your Login credentials in the private reply, I can try to recreate the Agama Slider and add the one Slide with the video on it, for you, if that’s what you want.
Unfortunately, in this case, you will not have particles (dots and lines).

If you want me to do this for you, you have to give me the details of exactly what you want and what video you would like to add …

    Thank you

    Best Regards

    Hello, Abbie!

I think I was able to do what you wanted.
    You now have several options:

    1. To leave as I currently set:

    – I inserted the video into Header… (Customizing-> Header-> Header video)
You can now adjust the video size to your liking. https://prnt.sc/r5p7se
If you want to adjust the video options (loop, autoplay, volume, poster…), go to Dashboard->Custom CSS & JS->…Header Video options
Edit the document and set the video attributes per your needs (true/false)
    https://prnt.sc/r5pa49
    https://prnt.sc/r5pbhr

    2. I made two sliders using the Layer Slider plugin:

    a. 1-Slide Video slider, and

    b. I recreated the Agama Slider with all 3 slides (2 current ones, and one with the video).

You can now select the slider that suits you best.

    https://prnt.sc/r5oimy

You can edit sliders from Dashboard-> LayerSlider WP->Sliders

    Zex,

You are the absolute best. This is great. I think I’m going to keep the homepage video as you have in option #1. 2 questions though:

1.) One on desktop the video isn’t loading. It will on my mobile device. I think this has to do with videos not being about to be autoplayed with music on certain browsers. Any idea here?

2.) Is it possible to put the Agama slider above the video and the video in between the slider and the homepage boxes? If so, what would I need to do to do that?

    Thanks SO SO SO much!

Or actually, is it possible to keep the video first, homepage boxes second, and agama slider 3rd? Sorry I don’t know how to write code or how I’d go about reordering these things!

    Hello Abbie!

    1. You are right. Some browsers block autoplay videos. Unfortunately, that’s an Individual browser setting and we can’t do anything for that.
That’s why you need to set the poster image (The image that shows when the browser block the autoplay).

    2. Only the

    SLIDER->VIDEO->FrontPageBoxes

    is doable.

I have already inserted the Video on your Front Page (remove it if needed)

    Hey Zex,

Okay, that makes sense on the autoplay. Is it possible to do just the video + a button + homepage boxes? and get rid of the slider altogether? This might make the most sense for visitors.

    Hi Abbie!

Sorry for the late reply, I don’t work on the weekends.

I see that you have already found a way to do what you wanted. (you are right, it looks so much better now).

    Zex,

Yes, I did! I meant to shoot a message over and let you know I figured it out. Thanks for your help again–I really appreciate it!
