    Hello, Juan Fica!

    This feature is already in our to-do list but unfortunately is not an available yet.
    there is two way to solve that:

    1. Insert the default search widget to your footer.

    or

    2. Add the custom search box using some of the plugins available. (I personally like the Ivory search Plugin).
    – Install and Activate this plugin, then go to Dashboard->Ivory search and
    copy/paste the shortcode into post/page or widget area to show the search box…

    Here you can find the steps to insert the search box in your navigation menu:
    https://theme-vision.com/forums/topic/search-option-in-social-menu/#post-12343

    In your case maybe is the best option to you to insert the search box in the top of your main menu.
    Please check THIS VIDEO, if you want to do that:

    To show the search box only on the mobile/tablet view, insert additionally next code into Customizing->General->Additional CSS:

    @media only screen and (min-width: 993px) {
    .is-search-form{
        display:none!important;
        }
    }

    Feel free to contact me again if you need more help with this.

    Regards

    Hi ThemeVision, before purchasing your theme I didn’t notice that the search disappears at smaller screen sizes. I am sure that most people will agree that this is a massive oversight so would you be able to clarify whether someone is actively working on this to find an in-theme solution?

    Hello, @Nick!

    As I wrote to you earlier, we do actively work on the theme update which will have the search option on mobile screen sizes.

    I hope it will be released very soon.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Regards

    Hi Zex

    I really appreciated your reply to my new post pointing me to this forum post. Interestingly, last night I was on my mobile phone trying to find out whether a post was already on this site but couldn’t find the search box. Now I’m on PC I can see that there’s one on the right-hand column of this forum but it disappears at narrower screen widths. It seems like you don’t like to provide search functionality to people on mobile. 😉

    Can you please give me a time frame for when the theme will be updated? If it’s days or weeks then we’ll wait but if it’s going to be months then we’ll have to look at manually fixing your theme or using a 3rd party solution.

    Update: Sorry the disappearing right column doesn’t contain the forum search box anyway. That seems to only be available at Home > Forums regardless of width.

    Hi Zex, if we’re only talking of a week or so then that will be fine. I was worried that it was a planned future update. 🙂
