ParticipantHi All
Please can someone tell me if there’s a setting to ensure the search box doesn’t vanish when the page size is below a certain width (i.e. on mobile). The search box is very important on our site.

ModeratorHello, Nick!
This feature is already in our to-do list (I have contacted our head developer and he confirmed that it will be ready for the next major upcoming release), but unfortunately is not available yet.
Until that happens, please check the answer from the following post:

ModeratorHello, Nick!
It is almost ready (some final testing left) so I suppose it will be available for downloading very soon.

ParticipantAwesome news 🙂
In terms of future development, it would be great if there was an option to make the search input box permanently visible. I worry that some less web-savvy customers might not notice the magnifying glass. I know there are ways of adding a search box using a third party tweak so I will look into that once I get customer feedback. 🙂

ParticipantHi, will the update appear in WP or will it require a manual update?

ModeratorHi, Nick!
Once when we release the update, the notification will appear in your WP dashboard.
When that happens simply update your theme.Regards

ParticipantHi Zex, my partner has just given birth so I’m just finishing off a few pending tasks at work so I can have a bit of time with mum and baby. Is there any way of getting hold of the update before it’s released through the WP system so I can update it this evening/tomorrow morning?
Cheers, Nick

ParticipantHi Zex, thanks. Any idea what the hold up is with releasing the update?

ModeratorHello, Nick!
Initially, our development team thought we would just make some minor improvements for the next update, but as the work progressed we made the decision to rewrite the whole theme from the beginning and implement many more improvements, new features, and code optimization. It took us a lot longer than we originally planned. But our customers will benefit greatly from this. The theme will look more modern, with more options so I think it’s worth the wait.
Thank you for your patience.

ParticipantHi Zex, that sounds great. I’m just wondering if I should implement a search box using a 3rd party solution. When you initially said that your theme update was coming in a week’s time it made sense waiting but not if it’s now going to take months then I really need to know so I can make a plan.
Please can you let me know?
Thanks
Nick

ModeratorHi,
No, it won’t take months … but anyway, I think you can use a third-party solution (it’s easy to implement in less than 15 minutes) until the update is available.
